The Ministry of Justice in cooperation with the Ministry of Planning and Administrative Reform launched a mobile application since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic that allows Egyptians to schedule appointments for various legal processes, then going to the nearest real estate office and continuing the process of your request.
“This app will shut down once the pandemic is officially over, '' said an employee in one of Cairo’s real estate offices, Ali Al-Oreshy.
The application is only for scheduling an appointment to the real estate office, you can’t make a procuration for someone through the app because we need to take our procedures such as the signature and so on, added Al-Oreshy. Also the attendance of both the person who wants to make the procuration and the one who will be procured.
Yet you can cancel or delay your appointment through the app. But making the whole procuration on the app itself is something we do not offer. You only pick an appointment on the app and you choose the service you want here in the office.
Ayah Fahmy, 27, tried the application but the available dates were too late for her needs, so she resorted to going there without an appointment, and it took her a long time to get to her turn.
