After syndicate of musicians banned 3enaba, Helmy Bakr: shame and lack of vocal qualification

Right after the Syndicate of Musical Professions banned “3enaba” from performing any concerts in Egypt, Helmy Bakr, the musician and Composer Helmy Bakr said “I never know who this is”.

Bakr added to “Trendify” that the Syndicate banned all of the singers who sing the same genre of local music because the syndicate wouldn’t accept it to be part of the Egyptian music.

Bakr: It is a shame that a country with the size and history of Egypt would have such people labelled as musicians

“It is a shame that a country with the size and history of Egypt would have such people labelled as musicians or even singers”, Bakr insisted.

Bakr said that the lack of qualification on technical, ethical and even appearance levels would be the main reasons that this kind of art should be banned and never allowed to represent the respectful and professional Egyptian art.

Bakr: Others who sing the same genre like “Hamo Bilka” and “Omar Kamal” should expect to be banned soon

Others who sing the same genre like “Hamo Bilka” and “Omar Kamal” should expect to be banned soon in addition to their ongoing history of problems with the syndicate, Bakr said.

“Is it the end of the world?” Bakr said in puzzle as he approached the way many people support and call what the banned singers presented “music” or “art”.
