News about the murder of Al Ahly’s 2007 team swimming coach, Hossam El Snusy, by his assistant, topped the social media trends over the past few hours as Egyptian users were asking about the reason, whether it took place inside the club or not and the procedures to follow.
After the public prosecution started their investigations into the crime, the club’s situation from the whole incident and whether parallel investigations would take place or not remained unknown.
Ezzat: The club would not be related by any means to the incident
Wael Ezzat, head of water games system at Al-Ahly club, said the club would not be related by any means to the incident since it took place outside the club. So the fact that both the murdered person and the murderer worked at the club should not be any means to pose any accusation towards the club.

Ezzat added that no investigations would take place inside the club since it would not be part of the whole crime and would not be at any advanced stage of prosecution’s investigations.
Ezzat mentioned that it is the fact that Al Ahly club is a well established organization that caused people to ask about the club’s role in response and intervene in the name of the club. However, such incidents may take place everyday where two people who work at the same place have a relationship or friendship outside it and one of them commits a crime. In such cases the organization would not be part of it by any means.
