The board of directors at Al-Ahly club announced, Sunday, the establishment of Al-Ahly football company and the appointment of Yassin Mansour as the chairman of Al-Ahly football company. Also, the board of directors headed by Al-Ahly’s president, Mahmoud El Khatib, appointed Mostafa Mourad Fahmy as the vice-chairman and Hossam Ghaly as the company’s board member.
With regard to the establishment of the football company, Gamal Gabr, Al-Ahly club spokesperson, said the establishment of a football company was to lay the foundation of a complete professional system of the football industry in Egypt just like the international clubs of the European countries.

Gabr added, in exclusive statements to “Trendify”, that the professional system the company will establish will have a separate budget from that of the club. However, the ownership and all its rights belong to Al-Ahly club.
Some stocks of the company will be offered to be bought by investors or so but the majority of stocks will be reserved under the ownership of Al-Ahly club so that the club stays as the only decision maker with regard to everything related to the club, according to Al-Ahly club’s spokesperson.
Gabr declared that the club retrieved all the required approvals from the General assembly and the authorized directions top of which is the ministry of sports in order for the professional system to be applied as soon as possible.

“The new company will not affect the responsibilities of Al-Ahly’s board of directors massively where the club will maintain the right to make decisions and have members of it to represent the club in the company” Gabr mentioned.
The choice of Yassin Mansour in the position of the company’s chairman came because of his economic background, investment experience and loyalty to the club. The background of Yassin Mansour is essentially needed in building a system for football as an industry which needs investment and huge financial income.
In addition, the presence of Mostafa Morad Fahmy who was the head of the competitions committee in FIFA for 8 years and the general secretary of CAF for 25 years and a former member of Al-Ahly’s board of directors is a great addition to the company on a professional level as well as the presence of Captain Hossam Ghaly in the board of the recently established company.
