You might remember when the PUBG game suddenly broke out vividly and remember comedian Henedy’s voice in cartoons like Monsters INC and super Henedy. Recently, Henedy in PUBG topped the trends on social media after PUBG added his voice package to the game and he announced through his official page that the 10 thousand commenters will enjoy free lifetime package of his voice on PUBG.
Amid the wide popularity the new voice package is receiving on social media, questions rushes to mind about the reason of choosing Henedy's voice and how the process of adding a new voice to an existing game took place. "Trendify" reached out to experts and gamers to offer an answer.
Why Henedy?
According to Gamer “Ayman Salah”, “Henedy is an influential comic character in the lifetime of children and youth and is very close to the family. In addition to that, some parents see PUBG as a violent online game, so PUBG is trying to be more a light game and It is possible to add Henedy to the game in response to the presence of Muhammad Ramadan in Free Fire online game, but PUBG preferred to choose a comedian and didn’t choose one of the action actors.”
That trend excites children and young people to try this level which includes a unique voice pack, created exclusively for PUBG MOBILE by Henedy, that allows PUBG MOBILE players to give in-game commands to their teammates using Henedy’s voice and mannerisms. The voice pack will be released on Eid Al Fitr and will be available for a limited time only.
Which techniques did PUBG use to create the voice pack by Henedy?
“Through the game's programming, PubG will use the character's voice and implement it to the sound bites needed in the game update,” said Salah.
The voice pack was just the start of the collaboration between PUBG mobile and the popular comic Mohamed Henedy will be joining the upcoming PUBG MOBILE STAR CHALLENGE Tournament which takes place during Ramadan. Henedy will be going head-to-head with some of the MENA region’s best streamers for an exciting and hilarious live event to be shared soon.
They then added Henedy as a character in the game, using a widely known technique called “the body map”. A person wears a specific suit and stands in front of a green screen, when a special camera pinpoints and maps his movements. These movements are then uploaded onto a 3D designing program and made into a character with the specific movements required. Finally, they add whoever’s identity they want to the character, which in our case is Henedy.

Frwez added, “Although PUBG doesn’t need contributions or gains, because every household must have at least one person playing PUBG, the presence of Henedy, the well-known comedian, will increase the popularity of PUBG.”
