Gamal Al Zoheiry: Al Ahly has enough experience to make it to CAF’s semi-finals despite obstacles

Al Ahly football team is expected to meet the South African Mamelodi Sundowns today at 3 pm in the next match, return leg, of CAF Champions League quarterfinal that is to be played in Lucas Moripe Stadium.

According to Gamal El Zoheiry, football critic, Al Ahly is expected to achieve the result that qualifies it to the semifinals where in the last match, the home leg, the red team managed to score 2-0 and thanks to its African experiences in football that is enough for the team to qualify.

Al Zoheiry: The Egyptian team is under a lot of pressure because of the large number of consecutive matches in a very short period

Al Zoheiry added to “Trendify” that surely The Egyptian team has many obstacles and is under a lot of pressure because of the large number of consecutive matches in a very short period. Moreover, the injuries of some players and the absences like Ali Maaloul could slightly affect the performance.

The referees’ attitude is another thing to worry about in today’s match since in the home leg the referee was somehow biased to Sundowns, El Zoheiry mentioned. Hopefully, the referee today will be objective.

Al Zoheiry: Players should stay from penalty area as much as possible

Today, Al Ahly players should try to stay away from the penalty area as much as possible to avoid any biases from the referee and to be on the safe side while defending against Sundowns, according to Al Zoheiry.

Al Zoheiry added that the players Mosimane should depend on in Today’s match plan are Taher Mohamed Taher, Mohamed Magdy Afsha and Mohamed Sherif. Also, as midfielders both Amr El Solia and Aliou Dieng would be a good choice. “Of course Mohamed El-Shenawy in goalkeeping,” Al Zoheiry added.
