Gamal El Zoheiry: the Egyptian Olympic team should use balnced defense-attack plan to win Argentina

After the Egyptian football team in Tokyo 2021 olympics ended its first olympic encounter against Spain in a draw, hopes got high and expectations raised about the Egyptian team’s performance in the upcoming match against Argentina, especially after Australia bet Argentina 2-0.

El Zoheiry: The Egyptian team’s performance against Spain was compatible with the challenges

Gamal El Zoheiry, Sports Critic, said that the Egyptian team played their first match in the ongoing olympic cycle in a performance that was compatible with the nature, performance and challenges posed by the Spanish team. Playing against Spain in a more “open” manner could have led to loss. Through that draw, Egypt managed to win one point, while the competitor lost two points.

El Zoheiry: following the Australian football team’s victory the Egyptian team’s responsibility increased

El Zoheiry added to “Trendify” that following the Australian football team’s victory over the Argentinian, the Egyptian team’s responsibility in their match against Argentina, to be played tomorrow, increased.

El Zoheiry: The Egyptian team should adapt an open-lines plan with equal dependence on attacking and defending

The Egyptian team should adapt an open-lines plan with equal dependence on attacking and defending, rather than sole focus on defense, El Zoheiry mentioned. “Achieving balance between both defense and attack aspects could enable the Egyptian team to win and qualify for the quarter-finals”.

El Zoheiry: Continuity of sole dependence on defense would reflect lack of plan and vision

“If the Egyptian team continued to adopt the same plan, used with Spain, this will lead the team to nowhere”, El Zoheiry said. Although the plan was suitable to be used in an opening match against the European Champion, continuity of sole dependence on defense would reflect lack of plan and vision.
