President of NRIAG: rocket passage over Egypt is normal, we are ready with tracking operation room

A state of uncertainty, the whole world is undergoing since China lost control of its 46,000-pound rocket. Social media posts about the rocket passage over Egypt more than once and the expected fall time and place smoothly found their way to the top trending topics. In this regard, “Trendify” communicated with Dr Gad El-Qady, the president of the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geographics (NRIAG).

El Qady: Tomorrow things may get clear about the expected fall place and time

El-Qady said that the rocket circulates Earth 16 times a day at a 28,000 km/h speed, so it’s normal that it passes over Egypt more than once a day.

El-Qady: China may regain control on the rocket when it approaches the Earth's atmospher

“At about tomorrow’s noon, things may get clear with regard to the place and time of the Chinese rocket’s expected fall” According to El-Qady. However, there is no available current identification of where or when it will fall and the rumors about the high probability of a fall in North Sudan is untrue.

“It is expected that when the rocket approaches the Earth’s atmosphere, China can regain control on it” El-Qady mentioned.

El Qady added, in his statements to “Trendify”, that at NRIAG they developed a central operation room to track the rocket whenever it passes over Egypt. Also, there is an ongoing communication round the clock with all space agencies worldwide.

“According to our scientific collaboration protocols with China National Space Administration (CNSA), we are in direct contact with the Chinese side with regard to any updates” El-Qady illustrated.

El-Qady: Egyptians can live track the rocket through NRIAG's website

El Qady said that NRIAG launched a website yesterday, http://www.nriag.sci.eg/ through which users can have access to watch live tracking of the location of the rocket in space and find explanatory videos about the phenomena.
