The Royal Court of Saudi Arabia announced the death of Princess Nouf Bint Khalid Bin Abdullah Bin Abdulrahman, yesterday and said, in a statement made by the Saudi Press Agency, that the funeral prayer for the deceased princess will be performed on Wednesday after the Asr prayer.

The princess, who passed away after disease struggles that she suffered from in the last few weeks, was the widow of Prince Fahd bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the eldest son of the current King Salman bin Abdulaziz, who died early in 2001 at the age of 46.

Although the late princess did not occupy official positions in her life, she enjoyed a prominent position in the royal family because of her parents, husband and children, as they are all well-known names in the country thanks to the official positions they held.

The late princess is one of the prominent granddaughters of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman, who is considered the founder of the third Saudi state, more than 80 years ago. Her mother Princess Al-Jawhara bint Abdulaziz, is the sister of the late King Fahd and the current King Salman, along with the most famous Minister of Interior in the history of the Kingdom, Nayef bin Abdulaziz, the late Minister of Defense Sultan, and Princes Turki and Abdul Rahman.

Her father, Prince Khalid bin Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman, is not less in stature and fame than her mother as he is the nephew of King Abdulaziz, and until his death early this year, he was one of the most prominent businessmen in the Kingdom. He is the founder of the well-known Orbit media network.
